Roy Blunt Awarded No Labels’ Problem Solver Seal of Approval
-- Non-Partisan Advocacy Group Cites Blunt’s Commitment To Bipartisanship --
(COLUMBIA, Mo.) — The nation’s leading non-partisan advocacy group, No Labels, announced today that Roy Blunt has earned the Problem Solver Seal of Approval award.
In addition to building off Blunt’s bipartisan track-record, the award represents his commitment to voters that he will enter the 115th Congress as an active member of the Congressional Problem Solvers Caucus and ready to work with both parties to find solutions.
“At a time when Missourians are fed up with a government plagued with gridlock, I’m proud of my proven track-record of working hard to bring bipartisan solutions to real problems,” said Blunt. “I’m grateful to receive this important award, and I will honor my commitment to enter the next Congress continuing to work across the aisle to cut through gridlock and get Congress working for the American people again.”
This momentum building award follows Friends of Roy Blunt’s recently released ad, “Bipartisan Solutions,” which highlights Blunt’s proven track-record of working across the aisle to solve real problems with bipartisan solutions:
Roy has a proven track-record of fighting for the issues small businesses care most about:
- The Revitalize American Manufacturing Act, which Blunt sponsored with Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH);
- The Excellence in Mental Health Act, which Blunt and Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) wrote together;
- The Victims of Child Abuse Act, sponsored with Senator Chris Coons (D-DE); and
- The first increase in federal funding for health research in over a decade, which Blunt wrote with Senator Patty Murray (D-WA).
