ROY BLUNT CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES STATEWIDE AD RAISING NEW QUESTIONS ABOUT JASON KANDER
-“If Jason Kander can’t do the job he has, why promote him to the U.S. Senate?”-
(Columbia, Mo.) – The Roy Blunt campaign today launched another statewide television ad entitled “Promotion.” The spot, which follows up on “Not Just Incompetent,” includes additional news footage reminding Missourians that, as the state’s Chief Elections Official, Jason Kander has presided over multiple significant voting irregularities and ballot blunders that threaten voter confidence and call into question his ability to do the job he already has.
The Blunt campaign earlier this year produced a longer format online video, documenting the serious issues surrounding Jason Kander’s tenure as Secretary of State. Since then, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has even criticized Kander’s inability to deal with voter fraud.
“Jason Kander never misses an opportunity to remind people that he is the state’s chief elections official, but the minute there’s a problem, he is anxious to pass the buck rather than ensure that every eligible Missourian has the ability to vote,” said Tate O’Connor, press secretary. “If he can’t get this job right, why does Jason Kander think he deserves a promotion?”
