Desperate Carnahan Seeks to Protect the Carnahan Washington Dynasty

St. Louis - The Washington-based Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is airing a bizarre new attack ad in Missouri criticizing legislation that Robin Carnahan called "absolutely" necessary and which Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Claire McCaskill and 36 other Senate Democrats supported. Roy Blunt's spokesperson Rich Chrismer issued the following statement on the new attack TV ad:

"Robin Carnahan is so desperate to hold on to her family dynasty of three generations of Washington politicians that she will say and do anything.  Robin Carnahan has repeatedly stated her belief that the 2008 emergency economic package was 'absolutely' necessary to prevent a worse economic disaster. Now Robin Carnahan's liberal Washington allies are attacking Roy Blunt for a vote Carnahan said was 'absolutely' necessary.

Washington Democrats Attack Robin Carnahan for Bill She 'Absolutely' Would Have Supported

St. Louis - In a new attack TV ad, Washington Democrats are hypocritically attacking Roy Blunt for legislation Robin Carnahan called "absolutely" necessary.

The attack ad, paid for by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, fails to mention that Robin Carnahan told the Sedalia Democrat she believed the 2008 emergency economic package "may have been necessary to stabilize the economy."  Carnahan was also caught on tape agreeing with her high-dollar donors in Santa Fe, New Mexico, that the legislation was "absolutely" necessary to prevent an even worse economic disaster.
