Jefferson City - Rubberstamp Robin Carnahan is not spending much time in Missouri in her campaign for U.S. Senate. Last year, Carnahan chose to travel the world instead of campaigning in Missouri. This year she's spending most of her time on the east and west coasts discussing how she would rubber stamp the liberal agenda of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama.
After completing a highly publicized fundraising swing with environmental extremists in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon, Carnahan is flying over Missouri once again to the opposite coast for fundraisers in New York City on Monday and Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.
"Rubberstamp Robin Carnahan doesn't want to explain her positions to Missourians so she's not campaigning in Missouri," said Blunt spokesperson Rich Chrismer. "If Robin Carnahan has the time to make a phone call from Portland, Oregon, for yet another false attack against Roy Blunt, she should pick up the phone in New York City or Washington, D.C. and explain to Missourians why she supports the failing so-called 'stimulus' bill, the job-destroying cap and tax bill and the Pelosi-Reid-Obama government takeover of health care."
Robin Carnahan was recently in the Pacific Northwest for fundraisers with environmental extremists who have already spent $750,000 in false attacks against Roy Blunt for his opposition to the job-destroying cap and tax bill. Carnahan's support for the tax is likely popular in the state of Washington and Oregon, where Carnahan has been campaigning.
Only 8 percent of Washington State's utilities are coal-based and in Oregon it's only 7 percent. In Missouri, where 82 percent of our energy is coal generated, Carnahan's cap and tax would destroy more than 32,000 jobs in the first year according to the Heritage Foundation and cause Missourians' electricity bills to skyrocket by hundreds of dollars every year.
"Robin Carnahan and the environmental extremists who support her campaign want to cap Missouri jobs and tax our incomes," Chrismer said. "Carnahan's positions might be popular in Seattle, Washington, Portland, Oregon, New York City and Washington, D.C., but they are out of touch with the views and values of Missourians."
Since announcing his campaign just over a year ago, Roy Blunt has held more than 300 events in Missouri, traveled county to county and covered tens of thousands of grassroots miles across the state. This includes his "Jobs for Missouri's Future" bus tour which covered 1,100 miles with visits to 20 Missouri communities over 4 days.

Rasmussen says we lead by 10, but the only poll that matters is on Nov. 2. Keep working hard - 54 days left! http://bit.ly/92TWvo 13 hours ago
