U.S. Congressman Roy Blunt, R-MO, spoke at the Salt Fork Pachyderm Club's Saline County Lincoln Day Dinner Friday, Feb. 19, during his "Jobs for Missouri's Future" bus tour.
Speaking about proposed cap-and-trade legislation, Blunt said it would approximately double the cost for coal-based utilities.
This would not only affect Missouri's residents, but also its employers, which could lead to some going out of business, he said.
