Another 1,000 Grassroots Miles for Roy Blunt's Campaign
Jefferson City - Roy Blunt's energetic campaign for U.S. Senate completed yet another 1,000 grassroots miles in his tens of thousands of miles of travel across Missouri, and also crossed another milestone with more than 250 campaign events in the last year.
Over the last five days, Roy Blunt traveled another 1,000 miles returning to Kansas City, Liberty, Lake Ozark, Jefferson City, Washington, St. Charles and St. Louis where he heard from job creators, physicians, educators, farmers, grassroots supporters and young people who are concerned about the future and the current direction of the country led by liberals in Washington.
"Missourians are intensely focused on jobs, health care and spending. They want a U.S. Senator who will fight for Missourians in Washington, not the liberal special interests," said Blunt. "Our job creators want the federal government to get out of the way so they can create good, permanent, private sector jobs. Missourians want real health care reform to lower health care costs, not a government takeover. On spending, they don't want another so-called 'stimulus' like the one I opposed last year. Missourians want a spending freeze now; a Balanced Budget Amendment now; and the line-item veto now."
In the last year, Roy Blunt has held or participated in 260 events and traveled tens of thousands of miles across Missouri visiting county after county in his very high energy campaign for U.S. Senate.
Rasmussen says we lead by 10, but the only poll that matters is on Nov. 2. Keep working hard - 54 days left! http://bit.ly/92TWvo 13 hours ago
